Saturday night my little guy was up all night long and hear me when I say all night! Sunday morning, with no sleep, I got dressed to head off for an engagement session at the Jacksonville Zoo. My Mother kept my boys so I left her my car and I drove hers. Not 5 minutes into my trip an old lady failed to yield and pulled right smack out in front of me. With nowhere to go I hit her…in my Mom’s car. Bad enough that you wreck your own vehicle but to have to deliver the news to someone else is 1000 times worse! Long story short, praise God there was a witness so the lady was cited for the accident and her insurance will pick up all damages on my Mother’s vehicle.
Now, I am over an hour behind on my photo shoot but thankfully the couple is very understanding and they are aware that I am on my way. Low and behold I get caught at a train coming to a dead stop about 5 minutes from the zoo…what else can go wrong? Well, after finally arriving at the zoo we began what would turn out to be an incredible day of photography. I am very excited about this upcoming wedding! It will also take place at the zoo…should be interesting and beautiful. My thanks to Mallory and George for choosing me to be a part of your memorable day. What a fun couple y’all are!
Here are a few sneak peaks from their engagement session. Feel free to view more on my website Dawn McCarthy Photography. As always, thanks for sharing my life and my passion for photography!
