This Sunday’s wedding was a picture perfect day! The sky was a flawless shade of blue and there wasn’t a single cloud in sight. Amelia Island Plantation was the perfect backdrop for the couple and their guests whom all flew in from out of town. I have actually photographed a couple of weddings lately where the bride and groom as well as all of their attendants were from out of state. I guess that Florida continues to be quite the hot spot for destination weddings.
The bride and groom planned an intimate mid morning ceremony followed by a beautiful brunch reception. With all of the guests being from out of town they were very much looking forward to an afternoon of basking in the Florida sun. Following the reception the couple and their guests intended to do exactly that! What a great idea to turn your wedding into an all day event to share with your family and friends! It makes me wish that I had gotten married earlier in the day…this way people aren’t heading out the door before you know it.
The newlyweds plan to spend the next couple of days at the beautiful Amelia Island Resort and then it’s off to Las Vegas for their honeymoon. Happy gambling guys : )
