Today I was too busy and quite frankly, too lazy, to make the trip to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things that I needed. But after Jeff got home I decided that I had better run up there while he watched the boys. Plus, I had failed to defrost my chicken today and decided to pick one up from there…did you realize that W-M has awesome rotisserie chickens? Uh huh! Better run and get you one…but not tonight because they were all out! Yep, at 6:30 in the evening they were completely sold out of rotisserie chickens…not a one in the place! I was a little ticked off to tell you the truth. So, we ended up eating Chinese…it was yummy.
Anyhow, back to the point of this Blog. On my way to Wal-Mart I passed our local cemetery who was holding their annual luminary service. I was bummed that I didn’t have my camera with me. It was such a beautiful scene. As I passed by I began to think of all of my loved ones whom I miss so dearly. The lights in my heart lit up one by one and my eyes welled up with tears. I decided that as soon as I got home to drop off my groceries that I would head back up there to take some photographs and have a moment to remember my love ones whom have passed.
It was honestly a breath taking sight. Thousands and thousands of candles lit the entire garden area and it was absolutely stunning! I got out and walked a little ways and thought of each person whom I loved and also gave thought to each of the people in this particular cemetery as well. They all had a story. I was saddened and couldn’t hold back the tears from falling but it felt good. It was something that I needed to do! I am grateful for the all of the people in my life now but I will certainly never, ever forget the ones who have gone before me…

Gorgeous Dawn! What a beautiful post, you have inspired me to think of all of my loved ones that have passed.
Dawn, you too have inspired me! I saw a quote a few days ago that read…”we are spiritual beings having a physical experience…” isn’t in nice to now that the spirit lives on and loves on……Thank you!!!
