My Blog readers know that I have made a commitment to “step out of my comfort zone” more often. Well, Tuesday night ya’ll would have been proud of me! Even in the midst of a major storm, I packed up my gear and headed out to meet some other local talent in downtown Jacksonville for a fun shoot out. And fun it was! We had a stunning group of models and a ton of amazing photographers. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many wonderfully kind people. It makes me proud to know that we can come together as a community, egos aside, and grow and better each other.
The thing that always intrigues me the most is shooting the same scene and subject with other photographers and then viewing the final image from so many unique perspectives. We all see something different in our minds eye and it is amazing to see what images evolve from that initial identical starting point. There is no doubt that my home town is brimming with amazing talent! I am incredibly honored to be a contributing artist to the extraordinary photographic fabric of the this beautiful town.
Not only were the models gorgeous and giving of their time but so were our gracious vendors! Thank you so much to each of you for making this event all that it turned out to be!
