Two years ago when I met Mallory for her pre-wedding consult, I knew right away that we hit it off. Karma, on the other hand…she was shy that day…clinging to her Granny’s leg. I took her hand and walked her into Ayden’s nursery and introduced her to “my baby” who happen to be sitting with his Granny in his rocking chair. She smiled and I knew that we were friends. Mallory and George were my clients at that point. I was excited about their wedding and knew that it had to be unique and awesome…after all, they were getting married at the Jacksonville Zoo. It was better than awesome actually!

They Were My Clients
November 18, 2009I Love The Love
November 17, 2009I met April almost two years ago at The Deacon’s wedding. She was sweet, bubbly and had a twinkle in her eye even then. Little did I know that soon she would be the Bride. We met and talked about her upcoming wedding to her very own Prince Charming. And I have to say that from the love that I witnessed through Kellen’s eyes in the way that he adored his Bride…even I was smitten! What a true gentleman. April, count your blessings my dear…handsome and genuinely sweet…he’s a rare jewel. And on the flip side of that, I also paid close attention to the way that April summoned Kellen near to her and melted into his arms each time that they were close. There is a pure and authentic love between these two that is visible to everyone in their presence. I truly loved how they were constantly surrounded by friends and family throughout the evening but yet they somehow managed to be in each other’s arms and off in a world all their own…that is the very definition of two people in love y’all.
Let’s Do This
November 16, 2009They were referred to me by one of the beautiful ladies that I had met at the In The Pink benefit that I shot. Jan and I spoke at length about her daughters dreams and I could totally relate. I had those dreams as a teenager as well. I wanted to be a model. Fate has it that I ended up behind the camera instead of in front of it and I am perfectly happy with that! Now it’s Lizzy’s dream. She was so excited to have her modeling session in preparation for her and her Mother’s upcoming trip to Miami. She had her make-up done and her wardrobe picked out and then … rain. Boo!!! I was so bummed for her. When they pulled up beside me to officially meet I said “hang tight and I’ll jump in the car with y’all.” Which is exactly what I did. We chit chatted about how we would make this work. And Lizzy flipped through my inspiration folder. We sulked at the rain dancing off of the windshield. Oh well, nothing like a little girl talk.
Christmas Is Coming
November 13, 2009Monday night I had a session with an awesome local wealth management company. They needed a Christmas Image to share with their client base. They wanted funny…they got funny! They were cracking me up as they were cracking themselves up!!! I love it when people have a good sense of humor and aren’t afraid to laugh at themselves and also have the gusto to steer away from the “stuffy boardroom” company photo. Imagine when you open your Christmas card and this image is attached. It kinda makes you want to be a part of this team, doesn’t it? Happy, go lucky and an obvious zest for life! I kinda wanted to jump in the picture myself. ;-) Not to mention load up that masterfully decorated Christmas tree and take it home with me! It was truly magnificent…every single detail!!!
