I don’t think there has been a day that I didn’t love my job. Well…okay…maybe on a few of those 2am editing marathons I might spew a few not so positive words. ;-) However, yesterday was a no exception to the “I love my job” statement. In fact, yesterday made me treasure my job even more! There are those special couples that come along that you just know that you are meant to work with. Megan and Trace are undeniably one of those couples! Megan and I have kept in touch on FB for quite some time so I knew that this engagement session would not be a typical one for me.

January 25, 2010SOOC verses Final Edits
January 22, 2010I get the question a lot as to what my post processing workflow includes. Although I am going to keep the exact process as an exclusive discussion between me and my {Spend A Day} gals, I thought that this post might be helpful to some of you who have posed the question to me. Here are a few SOOC (that stands for straight out of camera) shots verses my final edits. I have always maintained that getting a great SOOC shot is the key to efficient processing. I constantly try to nail my lighting from the start, which saves me so much time later. You will find that the more you focus on your SOOC result the better you will become. If you are currently shooting with the mindset of “I’ll fix it later” I strongly suggest that you throw that philosophy out the window as quickly as possible! ;-)
