Imagine a perfect ocean breeze…not too much but just enough. The sun is high and coats your skin in just the right amount of warmth. This was the day that Jessica and Grant joined their lives as husband and wife on the white sands of beautiful Jupiter beach. Under a bamboo canopy draped in flowing white tulle surrounded by their closest family and friends they exchanged wedding vows. It was beautiful. One of those days that you wish could last forever.
I have to tell you though..the wedding officiant had most of the guests (as well as myself) in stitches as she announced that she was actually a divorce lawyer. You couldn’t help but laugh at the irony. I just hope that she didn’t acquire any new clients on that particular day. ;-)
Following the sand ceremony and ring exchange the two darling little flower girls carried around their decorated buckets of sea shells delivering one to each of the guests. Jessica and Grant led the crowd down to the water’s edge and on the count of three all of the guests tossed the seashells into the ocean along with a special wish for the happy new couple. It was such a unique and fun gesture.
After the formals we headed over to Pirate’s Cove for a beautiful waterfront reception. The tables were adorned in sea blues and greens and the amber sunset filled the room with an incredible warm glow. A bucket of sand dollars was waiting for the advice and well wishes written by each of the wedding guests. They filled them out then transferred them into a “new life” bowl for the happy couple. We danced and celebrated late into the night. It was a perfect day indeed!
Jessica and Grant, I am so happy that the miles between us did not alter your decision of having me as your chosen wedding photographer. It was my pleasure and my honor to share this amazing day with the two of you! As you head off to Costa Rica and into the rest of your lives, I wish you infinite love and happiness. Congratulations!!! XOXO

Dawn, these are gorgeous, and such a breath of fresh air for this winter-weary New Englander. The shot of the dress in front of the books is genius. Your photography has such a lovely, happy quality to it…
