I arrived at World Golf Village on Saturday to meet my sweet Bride, Katie and her girls while they were getting ready. Katie was relaxed but at the same time had a little nervous smile that appeared from time to time. When I saw her dress I knew that the moment she stepped into it the nerves would dissipate and all of the effort that she had put forth over the last several months would all of the sudden become reality. She looked like an absolute princess. I loved her dress! Loved it.
The fellas were pilled up in Anthony’s parents mac daddy motor coach doin’ what guys usually do…relaxin’ and shootin’ the breeze. This was going to be a great wedding…I could feel it. My kinda people. It only took a few minutes to realize that I was going to adore this groom. Anthony, like my brother in law Mike, is a man unafraid to show emotion. I love that in a man. It speaks volumes to his character. Anthony is like a big ol’ huggable teddy bear. And I admit that I wanted to pinch his cheeks a time or two as well. ;-)
The ceremony, performed by one of Anthony’s brothers, was just beautiful. The sun was setting behind us and the lighting was exquisite. Katie beamed and Anthony shed a tear or two or a hundred. ;-) I loved everything about it. You could feel the adoration and love between these two in every word that they spoke. There were at least 300 people at this wedding and I think that everyone would agree that it was quite an incredible celebration.
Now y’all know how much I love to eat…that is no secret. But when I tell you that the food at this wedding was out of this world…I mean it. Like only from a dream kinda good. You can’t even imagine and I can’t adequately explain it to you so you are just going to have to trust me on this. The food was so exceptional that I mighta slapped my own momma had she (or anyone else) tried to touch my plate. I ain’t lyin’ y’all…it was THAT amazing! And the presentation certainly didn’t play second fiddle. It was as incredible as the food itself. I just can’t say enough about it. When Sunday rolled around I was craving the calamari salad so bad that my taste buds were screaming in desperation for just one more bite. Bravo to Mr. Byron Terwillegar of Blue Water Bay for the most amazing spread I have ever seen or had the complete honor of partaking in. Wow! Just wow!
Katie and Anthony, it was such an honor to be chosen as your wedding photographer. I loved being a part of your celebration. I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness as powerful as what you felt the moment that you met beneath that sprawling oak tree on Saturday. May those same feelings remain strong in your hearts from now until forever. Have a blast in Vegas!!! Lotsa love.
With every fiber of my being I ADORE this moment between Katie and her Grandmother…
Boys will be boys…
Stunning Katie!
Oh yeah…look who else came to supper.

I know Kelly. Believe me when I say that I was devastated when I realized that the people had already been summoned to the buffet before I was able to shoot it. : ( I was so sad. But…it happens. And to attempt to move those people away from THAT buffet would have been a riot!
These are BEAUTIFUL!!! I haven’t seen Nelson in 10 years and he looks so happy! I’m happy for them and think you did a wonderful job at capturing the feelings of the wedding. I wouldn’t expect anything different of Nelson!
