It was a pleasure to join my dear friend Evie Curley in her hometown of Greensboro NC for the official launch of the Triad Cities SMUG. I was so proud to walk into her quaint little studio and see just how far she has come in her business. It felt so “official” to see her name in that front window and her beautiful sign above the door. It even provoked some thoughts of the possibility of my own studio in the future.
The Triad Cities SMUG members filed in and we got started. I was so excited to find out that majority of this group were already Smug Mug users. The group was composed of 85% men so I had my work cut out for me. I must say, they were a great group of fellas and I think that I eventually won them over. ;-) Afterward, most of us ladies headed out for a quick bite to eat and one of the brave gentleman joined us. It was great round table conversation. Those are always some of my most favorite moments. Thanks to all of y’all in Greensboro for such a warm welcome. It was my pleasure to come and speak with you!
Evie and I set out to shoot a new headshot for her. I was wanting to test out the 85 prime. I must admit that I fell in love with it. It will likely be my next purchase. At the same time, I was able to shoot the cutest little girl who happens to be one of the SMUG members daughters. She stole my heart when she told me that she loved my freckles! What a sweetie pie. Andrea, thanks so much for sharing her with Evie and me. It was a pleasure to meet you both as well. Best wishes in all of your future endeavors.
Evie, being able to share those 2 days with you was perfect! Our slumber party made my heart happy. I couldn’t imagine someone that I would rather lounge around and watch news magazines with while snacking on pita chips and hummus. Ah, I loved it!!! And I love you. You will be an amazing SMUG Leader!
AWWW Hi Evie!! Gorgeous shots of two Gorgeous Ladies! And I must admit that I am a little jealous of the slumber party!! Wish I could have been there too!! <3
It was great to have you there to launch the group! And of course, I enjoyed our slumber party as well. Nothing like hanging out in your jammies and talking into all hours of the night. Thank you for coming to see me and for being such a great friend!!!
