Sometimes people swoop into our lives on a whim and in the same swift fashion that they arrived they quickly disappear. Fortunately this was not the case with The Deacons. Our business relationship has evolved into quite a lovely friendship over the past several years. I am so proud of this family as I have had the honor of witnessing their engagement, their marriage and the expansion of their precious family. I have also been fortunate enough to document some other momentous occasions for their family as well. One of the most inspiring being Mallory’s grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. Their story still warms my heart to this day. This year as the family said their final goodbye to their personal hero, Mr. Walter Porter I was blessed to document that moment for them as well.
I met up with The Deacons last Thursday to capture some Christmas images for 2011…is Christmas honestly only 10 days away??? Wow! Just saying that makes my heart skip a beat. This year felt like it lasted about five months…max. I’m telling ya, having kids makes time pass quicker than I ever fathomed possible. Karma and Edward are growing by leaps and bounds. That said, they are absolutely as cute as ever!
After the session we all headed out to hear The Corbitt Brothers play and enjoy an evening on the river. The perfect ending to a terrific day. Y’all know that I love y’all to pieces and I hope that you enjoy these images. XOXO
