I saw a post on Facebook that made the sympathetic Mom in me rise to the surface. Ivy (my cousin) had taken her daughter Ryan to have her pictures made at a local “studio” and she was beyond disappointed with the result. In fact, she posted that she didn’t even feel comfortable mailing out her Christmas cards with those pictures inside. I felt terrible for her so I squeezed in a last minute session to capture the true beauty that resides in this sweet little girl.

December 18, 2010I am so proud of our JAX SMUG this year. I feel like we have made great strides in 2010 and 2011 is sure to be even better! This group would not be what it is without two key factors…the most amazing client focused company that I know, SmugMug and my ever awesome members!!! From the bottom of my heart…I thank you both!

SMUGapalooza in Jacksonville
July 3, 2010I have always loved to host parties and events. I thrive on the stress of expectation and preparation. It’s like I am forever in a race against myself and no matter how early I start I am always pressed for time right up to through the very last second. Last night was no different. I finished just in the nick of time! As guests began to arrive I greeted them and then quicky moved on to preparing the buffett for supper. As I called everyone to come and fix a plate I said to myself as well as out loud “I just know something is missing.” Unfortunately I never could never put my finger on what was left out…that was until this afternoon as we packed the cooler to head to the beach. It dawned on me…THE BAKED BEANS! Sure ’nuff…that was what I was missing last night. All four pounds were still in the oven. Prepared but never served. Oh well. At least I remembered to turn the oven off.
