Sixteen Candles

February 25, 2010

Danielle brought along the most adorable outfits and accessories. I love girls with such fun style! And that pretty in pink dress paired with those rhinestone boots just sent me right over the edge. A photographers dream! I was completely smitten in 5 minutes flat! Her innocent personality and that sweet smile was like icing on the cake. Honestly, I could have photographed her until the sunset. Come to think of it…I almost did. In between outfits we talked about her birthday. She and her family enjoyed a celebration dinner at Longhorns Steakhouse.

The Year In Review

December 29, 2009

I have said it over and over again but let me say it one last time in 2009…I love my clients! This has certainly been a year to remember for me. Business went from steady to mass overload around August. I admit that there were days that I wondered how I would possibly get everything done in a timely fashion but somehow or another I managed. Maybe it was all of those countless 2:00am bedtimes. Hubby finally got to the point where he didn’t even bother to ask what time I made it to bed the night before. Several mornings my prayer started with “Lord, please let Ayden sleep another 2 hours.” : ) I guess that when you put in the amount of hours that I do…it is truly a blessing to LOVE what you do!

Let’s Do This

November 16, 2009

They were referred to me by one of the beautiful ladies that I had met at the In The Pink benefit that I shot. Jan and I spoke at length about her daughters dreams and I could totally relate. I had those dreams as a teenager as well. I wanted to be a model. Fate has it that I ended up behind the camera instead of in front of it and I am perfectly happy with that! Now it’s Lizzy’s dream. She was so excited to have her modeling session in preparation for her and her Mother’s upcoming trip to Miami. She had her make-up done and her wardrobe picked out and then … rain. Boo!!! I was so bummed for her. When they pulled up beside me to officially meet I said “hang tight and I’ll jump in the car with y’all.” Which is exactly what I did. We chit chatted about how we would make this work. And Lizzy flipped through my inspiration folder. We sulked at the rain dancing off of the windshield. Oh well, nothing like a little girl talk.

Blonde Hair, Blue Eyed Beauties

September 15, 2009

If there was one attribute that I would have liked to have inherited from my dear Dad…it was his beautiful blue eyes. Unfortunately, I got just about everything but those blue eyes! ;-) However, the same does not apply to my little brother and sister. They were blessed with both his blonde hair and blue [...]
