I can’t even imagine an adequate one word intro to start this Blog with. Wow…seems lame. Amazing…seems inadequate. Thrilled…seems silly. Insane…well now…I might be onto something there! Insanely, amazingly thrilled…wow! How ’bout that? That might better explain it. Explain what you ask? Me speaking at WPPI. I couldn’t have even imagined it myself. When I was asked if I would be “interested” I could barely answer without screaming into the phone…”Interested? Are you kidding me? YES! YES! YES!” And then after hanging up the phone I quickly thought “Oh Lord! What have I gotten myself into now?”

Oh My! Me and WPPI?
February 17, 2010My Absolute Best Valentine’s Ever
February 15, 2010I tweeted yesterday that my boys had sent me on a scavenger hunt here at the house. My oldest held my hand and led me in the right direction from note to note to make sure that I didn’t miss anything. His eyes lit up like infinite rays of sunshine. Smiles as wide as the sky. “We worked really hard on this Mom. It took a lot of effort.”
Happy Valentine’s Day
February 14, 2010It’s a gorgeous sunny day in Jacksonville Florida. There is a chill in the air but you can’t help wanting to be outside today. My 3 boys and I…yes Hubby is included as one of my boys…are spending this Valentine’s Day as a family. We are doing a few things around the house and then going out for a family Valentine’s date.
Happy Birthday Mom
February 13, 2010Last year I threw a 50th birthday party for my Mom. It was not a surprise because…well, in all honesty she might not have shown up. ;-) I had to inform her of the celebration in order to assure that we wouldn’t be celebrating her birthday without her. It was a night filled with family, friends and love. I think it should be a requirement in life, that you be given at least one BIG party where you are the guest of honor and people are there to tell you why you are special to them. It is nice to hear what you mean to someone else once in a while. Mom was on cloud nine that night. The guests really filled her heart and lifted her spirits.
