I methodically packed a single carryon bag, grabbed my morning coffee and headed off to the airport. At 8:30 am it was already 80+ degrees. I was definitely looking forward to the refreshing California weather. But more importantly to the incredible opportunity that was awaiting me. This inaugural Start Up Strategy workshop was a private launch of what is sure to be an in demand workshop for individuals struggling with business clarity and what that means.

Ah Ha. Clarity!
August 8, 2010Off To Cali
August 3, 2010I am heading out to California for a private workshop hosted by one of my favorite industry gurus Jeff Jochum and his partner the remarkable Lawrence Chan (Tofurious). These guys have teamed up to come to the rescue of those in need of business clarity. I can’t imagine 2 more perfect people to lead you down the path of personal goal exploration, accurate goal identification and ultimately business goal clarity. I can’t even express my anticipation and gratitude for the opportunity of being a participant in their official launch workshop.
JAX SMUG Smile Swap
August 3, 2010Last night we met at the Oakleaf Town Center for our JAX SMUG Smile Swap. Unfortunately the Florida afternoon thunderstorms followed us. I darted into the Peterbrooke Chocolatier and the super sweet ladies welcomed us in out of the rain and even allowed us to shoot inside the store. Ladies, if you happen to read this…thanks again! You really saved the day. Shortly following the rain storm we were graced by a gorgeous full rainbow.
We Are All Okay
August 2, 2010Saturday morning I wake up with two deadlines fast approaching. I grab my daily cup of joe and settle in at my desk. I make it through a couple of hours at a great pace. I am feeling good. But then the Florida weather reared its ugly head and I was forced to shut down. Lunch time rolls around. The kids are hungry. I go in the kitchen to prepare lunch. The taco beef was simmering and smelling good. I finished dicing the tomatoes and reached into the dishwasher for a serrated edge knife to shred the lettuce. That’s when it happened. As I lifted the dishwasher door to close it…BAM!!! Lightning struck and immediately fried my dishwasher and literally hit and ignited at my feet. Scared me to death! I screamed out in shock and of course the kids were hysterical. I wasn’t hurt…thank the Lord! My legs and feet were tingling but not burning or pain ridden. The ball of fire was bright blue and white. It was the strangest thing ever! Praise God that it quickly dissipated without actually catching the dishwasher (or me) on fire.
