I am in complete awe of my next {Walk The Shot} attendee. Not only is she as sweet as a homemade apple crumble pie but she is one of the most inspiring women I have had the pleasure of meeting. Shannon is from Mississippi…so how have we met you ask? Well, that’s where part of the story starts. Shannon sent me a request to book a workshop and we did just that. Meanwhile, we stayed in touch. She read the announcement that I would be speaking at The School of Photography in Grand Rapids and she sent me a note to say that she would see me there! She and her best friend were going to take a road trip to MI. Gosh! I only wish I was that spontaneous and carefree. The conversation that we had after the conference was simply amazing! Shannon is a true free spirit. A Southern Belle. An amazing best friend. An incredible wife. An all around inspiring person. I literally can not wait to spend a day with her!

October 9, 2010Destined To Be A Florida Gator
October 7, 2010If you are born into The Bowden Family you are destined to be a Florida Gator! Little James was no exception. Mom and Dad brought him and his Gator to be photographed yesterday. I have a long time relationship with this sweet couple. I photographed their wedding, their first son and their family portraits. I am so proud and excited for this little family of four!
A True Compliment
October 4, 2010As a wedding photographer and a woman…it is always nice to have your Brides refer you to their friends. In fact, it is the way that I prefer to do business. That said, when a Groom refers you…you really take a deep breath and say “wow!” I must be doing something right. That’s exactly what happened when this precious little boy came my way. Thanks so much to a special Groom of mine, Mr. Tony Taylor! I consider that a true compliment.
Photoshop Bag of Tricks for JAX SMUG
October 1, 2010Last night JAX SMUG welcomed Adobe Certified Trainer, Mike Permenter and his assistant Tammy. We were so fortunate to have Mike share just a small taste of his wealth of Photoshop knowledge. There was no way that we could even scratch the surface of his bag of tricks in the 2.5 hour time frame that we had. Even so, we all walked away learning several new things. Mike was even kind enough to share his keyboard shortcuts and I think everyone was really stoked to have this! It’s like Mike said last night…”if each shortcut takes a few seconds off of your workflow each day just think about the amount of time you save each year.” So true! I asked Mike’s permission to share this with those of you who weren’t fortunate enough to join us in person last night and he so kindly obliged. Thanks a million Mike…for your time, knowledge and willingness to further educate the members of JAX SMUG. It was our privilege to have you and Tammy and we certainly thank you both!!!
