As we all know life seems to go by faster and faster with each passing year. We are all so busy that at times it is easy to forget what is really important. Each time that Ayden (my 8 month old) wakes up from his nap and I go in to get him, he reminds me of what is important in life. We play a quick game of “where’s Mommy” and he gets so tickled that he busts into the “belly laugh” that absolutely melts my heart. It’s this miniscule moment that he knows is coming and he looks forward to each time that his door opens up.
And then there is Austin (my 5 year old) who reminds me that in his mind each and every thought and idea should bring the world to a complete halt because it is that important! The child is full of imagination and wisdom at 5 years old. If only we could all take time each day to “think like a child” I believe that we would all see the world quite differently.
I took the boys to the park yesterday afternoon and it just so happened to be one of those exceptionally beautiful, perfectly crisp days that reminds you of how precious each moment that we have on this earth is. We spent about 3 hours there and it just gave me a moment of reflection that I desperately needed. Austin and his best friend were busy playing and I sat under the jungle gym with Ayden and snapped about 215 pictures…I know, I am ridiculous : ) but hey, patience behind a camera produces treasured memories that will last a lifetime. Here are a few that I captured…
This is what I know is important in my life! What is important in yours?
