Friday night was, by far, one of the most enjoyable nights that I have had in a long time! I welcomed two of my Photographer friends into my home…one from California and one from Macclenny. We had a wonderful “get to know you in person” session because we talk to each other almost every single day on our photography forum. It was so nice to actually have them here, in my home! A little while later we met up with another one of our friends, who had been busy photographing a beach session that afternoon, and we all enjoyed a dinner at my favorite little sushi house…Midori. If you haven’t tried it and you enjoy sushi then I suggest that you head on over there and indulge in some fine and beautiful cuisine! Their food presentation is every bit as pleasing as the food itself and y’all know that I love a great food presentation!
Us girls gabbed and gabbed about anything and everything that we could think of. We shared a lot of laughs and a lot of stories. It is so wonderful to sit and chat with people who share the same interests as you do and whom also value your work and talent! We closed the place down and said goodnight to two of our gals and then my California friend and I headed over to Starbucks for a night cap. And for all of you who know me oh so well and are shocked that I actually went to Starbucks for a cup of coffee…don’t worry, my dear friend Renee bought my night cap to keep me from having a breakdown over the price tag on a small cup of Starbucks coffee! ;-) It is one of her favorite places. We closed them down too…they actually had to ask us to leave. I returned her home to her Hubby…well to their hotel anyways. It was such a great little escape for me for one night and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! And I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed that gingersnap cup of coffee as well…I have thought about it several times since Friday ;-) No more $3.00 cups of coffee for me though…I’ll stick with Maxwell House brewed fresh at the McCarthy House!
Hey Dawn, I had a fabulous night as well! I loved meeting my “friends I’d never met!” You have a beautiful home and family and I enjoyed a little glimpse into the life of Dawn! And of course our dinner, conversation and Starbucks were great too!
