I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast to share with the love of their families! I know I did. Even in tough times I often feel very privileged for the many blessings that I have been given…mainly the love of my friends and family!
Speaking of friends and family and friends that are my family…I had the pleasure of photographing a session of my dear friends who might as well be my family, The Gedeons, this past Sunday. Despite the pitiful weather I think that we captured a ton of terrific shots!
Jessica and Kirk were the very first wedding that I ever photographed. Actually, much of my success is because Jessica picked up the phone one day and called me and said “We have been talking and we can’t think of another person whom we would rather have photograph our wedding. Would you do it?” And so it all began…history in the making : ) I must admit that I was rather proud when I handed over their wedding albums because I was giving them exactly what I had hoped to get out of my own wedding album. It was a bitter sweet moment but certainly set the path of my future career in photography.
Jessica & Kirk, I must thank you both for having the faith that you had in my talent because I often wonder if I would have really “bit the bullet” and started this venture of discovering my genuine passion in life without the subtle nudge that you guys gave me. I certainly feel like I have come a long way since then but I will always be proud of my “first official wedding.” I know that you guys have enjoyed the photos over the years and I hope that these new ones will bring as much joy as those initial ones did. : ) I love you all!
Enough about the parents…meet Miss Addison! Is she a doll or what? She is like me a little bit…she has a mind all her own and she likes to follow her own plans and ideas : ) but that’s what makes us special…right Addison? Here are a few of my favorites…
I am lovin’ these Dawn! You are so talented…no wonder you have ART in your name! :)
These are gorgeous Dawn! Beautiful family
I love them Dawn- Thank you so much for treking out in the rain and taking these for us. It was well worth the trip to Jacksonville to have you photograph our family. Love w/ hugs- Jessica
GORGEOUS!! I love that first picture, it is stunning!
What eye pleasers! How much fun you must have had taking these, looking forward to the future ones. Charlotte Smith (Kirk’s sister, Aimees Mother-in-law)
