When I told y’all yesterday that I would be looking like the Pillsbury Dough Boy…I meant it! I like to have froze to death shooting this session yesterday! I ended up bundling up in a tanktop, turtleneck, vest jacket, full jacket, jeans, gloves and boots with 2 pairs of socks. It was that cold and I don’t care where y’all are from…I’m tellin’ ya it is down right cold in Florida this week! I don’t know how these models withstood it but they did and they were a bunch of troopers. Beautiful troopers!
If you are a local Blog reader then I encourage you…in fact I beg of you…to use Faythe Mesic and The League of Professional Stylists as your preferred make-up artist and hair stylists for all of your weddings, sessions, seniors…whatever. They are incredible. Just plain incredible. You will not be sorry that you listened to me and if I am your photographer of choice, I will be ecstatic that you listened to me! ;-)
We headed down to Castle Ottis in Vilano Beach yesterday to document this unique spin on the modernized fairytale. I have to say that even though I was born and raised here I have never taken the time to go and tour this castle. I always drove by and wondered what it might look like inside. Well, now I know. And now I am obsessed with it! The element of eccentricity that the castle exudes is just plain breathtaking! Not to mention the stunning 360* views from the rooftop. The interior is layered with spiral staircases and unique woodwork displayed as a compliment to the uneven textures of natural coquina. The sunlight dances between the open windows and the particles of translucent dust catch your eye as they glisten between the light rays. It is truly a photographers dream. I just loved everything about this place! I can hardly wait for another opportunity to shoot at Castle Ottis.
I hope that y’all enjoy the images of Pocahontas, Cinderella, Princess and the Pea and Repunzel. Ladies, it was truly my privilege to photograph each of you. Many thanks for your dedication and will to withstand the freezing temperatures. I hope the final images make it worth your wild.

It really wouldn’t surprise me if the staircase didn’t cost more then $300000; it’s pretty much made entirely out of glass except for the hand rails and the metal connectors. Also the glass in the cube probably cost less since it doesn’t have to support the weight of people walking on it like the stairs do.
