My sweet Granny rang my door bell this morning at 8:15, her hands full with two boxes of fresh Krispy Kreme Doughnuts…still warm to the touch. Ah heaven! What a way to welcome a beautiful Tuesday. I quickly hugged her neck, kissed her cheek and deeply inhaled the fragrance of Chanel #5 and then headed out to meet the Jax Shoot Club at one of our members own studio in Green Cove Springs. I was super excited because it is rare that I get to shoot with studio setups as I am a predominately natural light photographer.

January 19, 2010He Stole My Heart Then
January 18, 2010You may remember me introducing you to baby Dalton six months ago. This little pumpkin head stole my heart then and he steals my heart now. Honest to goodness he was as happy as a child could possibly be. That speaks volumes to the amazing job that Dustin and Laura are doing in raising this little fella. I am so proud of the two of them and their precious little family.
In Case You Missed It
January 16, 2010I hosted a live chat where people could tune in and ask questions in real time. I was so excited by the number of participants and the outcome of the chat. In case you missed it you can click HERE at anytime for the archived version.
Imaging USA 2010
January 13, 2010Today I want to talk about what Imaging USA meant to me as a Photographer. The itinerary that PPA arranged was nothing less than spectacular! The platform speakers were incredible, knowledgeable and at the same time personable. What I realized was these “special Photographers” are no different than you and I…well, with the small consideration of their substantial income maybe. ;-) But seriously, they have achieved great respect and authority in the industry because they have earned it not because they are some celebrity or genius. They started at the same place that I did…many of them, if not most, are all self taught. They had a dream and they pushed forward until someone noticed. Once they got noticed they pushed harder. I respect them. I admire them. I am pushing forward. I have goals…some might be better referenced as dreams but nonetheless I am determined and I am willing to earn the respect of my peers, this year, next year and 20 years down the road. And even more important than my peers are my clients. I am 100% committed to being “all in” as my friend Dane Sanders said. I do not claim to be “the best” but what I do claim to be is “all in” for evey single wedding and every single client. This has always been and always will be my commitment.
