Yesterday I had the pleasure of being a guest at my cousin Weston’s wedding. It was so nice to have the day off. That said, I will admit that I found it difficult to keep my behind planted in my seat. I had to fight the urge to jump up and start shooting. In fact, my husband said to me, “Can’t you just enjoy the wedding and quit worrying about getting a shot?” I tried. I really did. And, I did pretty good. I never left my seat (hence the seated people in my shots) and I only shot about 20 frames. Aside from leaving my camera in my car that was the best I could do. ;-)
Margaret and Wes had a beautiful ceremony at St. Joesph’s Catholic Church. My grandparents have been lifetime members at St. Joe’s and they were recognized and thanked after the nuptials. I thought that was such a nice gesture. As Margaret and Wes swept down the aisle I know that my Aunt Renee and Uncle Buddy (Jack) were experiencing such a proud moment. And of course Margaret’s parents as well! Who put on a fabulous reception at The Jacksonville Marriott. I love when my family comes together and enjoys each others company. It makes my heart incredibly happy! We danced and danced and danced. I loved it! It was indeed a wonderful celebration.
My handsome brother was a groomsman and I was so ecstatic to have an opportunity to photograph him all spiffied up because that never happens! My brother is not the dress up kinda guy. And on top of that, he despises having his picture taken. He behaved yesterday though and I managed to grab a good shot of him for my Nanny to hang on her wall. It’s been many years since his picture has been updated. It was time. I love my brother so much!!! And if anyone knows any local single ladies I would love to see him find his perfect gal. There’s only one catch…she must be a redneck. It’s a requirement. E-mail me your candidates. ;-)
Margaret and Weston, I wish you both all the best! Margaret, you looked beautiful. Wes, I have never in my life laughed so hard or been more excited to see you dance! You tore that dance floor up last night and I think that I speak for all of the guests when I say that we adored watching you! Your joy was apparent and I am so proud and happy for you! Here are some quick personal shares of my family from the wedding.
