Tuesday I had the pleasure of welcoming my friend, Doug Gordon, to Jacksonville. Doug is such a cool guy! If you have ever had the privilege of seeing him in action at Imaging USA or WPPI then you know what an incredible and amped up presentation he gives. He is in a league all his own. He ROCKS the house! He has some of the most impressive strategies for turning your posing struggles into easy, real, emotion evoking images. I know, at some point, we have all been frustrated when it comes to creating fresh, innovative poses when we are “in the moment.” Doug is the master at showing you (with actual live models) how to overcome shooting the same old boring poses while creating dramatic personalized pieces for your clients.
I have been fortunate enough to see Doug in action on a couple of occasions. The most awesome part of this particular day was the fact that Doug actually photographed my hubby and me as part of the workshop. The 17th of this month will be our ten year anniversary so you can imagine how exciting it was to have the Doug Gordon document that. And I am ecstatic to say that ten years and two kids later…my dress still fit! Ah!!! I will share those images with you once Doug has a chance to work his magic on them.
Doug is currently on a US tour with his workshop. I STRONGLY recommend that you join him in the city nearest you! You will be blown away by what you can learn from this man in 5 hours. Not to mention…he’s just plain awesome to be around. Y’all know that I do not consider myself a “posed photographer” but I must admit that watching the master of photographic posing in action…not to mention being able to watch and rewatch his instructional DVD set…has fueled a posing fire within me. The minimal amount of time that it takes for him to create 50 different poses with his “flow posing” approach just blows my mind! Talk about a time saver!!! It truly is incredible. Find him in a city near you and register today. You won’t be sorry you did. Personal guarantee! And please tell him that I said hey when you see him. : )
Doug…THANK YOU seems far too insignificant in the attempt to express my gratitude. Your energy, expertise and advice is invaluable! You are truly one of a kind. It was my pleasure to have you here. Many, many thanks!!!
Well worth it! I’d go see him again anytime. Thanks Dawn!
I am sure he is AMAZING, but he is sure lucky of had the opportunity to take such a precious photo of you! You are my shining star! I just love this picture, and I love you!
Well worth it! I’d go see him again anytime. Thanks Dawn!
