By now most of you have heard or read about the unfortunate lightning damage that my home suffered. What a crazy thing! As Shana and I were sitting in Panera making our way through the workbook along came another storm. Lord have mercy, I am telling y’all that the lightning in Jacksonville has been insane this year! I never recall lighting so fierce in all my life.
When it was time for the shooting section we packed up and headed out…destination unknown. The storm had lessened at that point. I did my best to explain to Shana as I was driving around how I “view” locations and what makes me want to stop. We drove past a gorgeous gated neighborhood entrance and I knew that was our spot. A quick u-turn and we were there. Unfortunately…so was the storm. Geez! Can’t we get a quick break? Well…quick was granted. So I worked in a hurry. Soon enough the lightning was actually scarring both of us enough that we decided to call it quits…outdoors that is. Now we were in search of an indoor location that would be so kind as to allow us to shoot. I wheeled into one of my absolute favorite stores and posed my crazy question…much like I did at last months JAX SMUG. And viola! We were in. Totally outside of my comfort zone of shooting but in the end proved to be a successful challenge.
Shana had me in stitches with her candid humor. We have the “talk a lot” syndrome in common. LOL! There were a few times that I had to refocus our attention back to the workbook or we might have never completed the workshop. The two of us together could seriously talk our way through and out of any given situation! That is as long as we didn’t have to do that within Shana’s “hair window.” The girl has some serious hair maintenance schedules. She cracked me up with her hair stories!
Shana…I enjoyed every minute that we shared. My hope is that you walked away from your {Walk The Shot} workshop with a new perspective on how to push forward in your business. I know that you can do it. You are just going to have to give yourself more credit for your successes and accomplishments! Stay focused and allow the windows of opportunity to present themselves to you. You are worthy!!! I can’t wait to follow your journey. XOXO~Dawn
An absolute testament to your artistry! You might have been “out of your comfort zone” but nobody would EVER know that. These are fantastic!!! I agree with the lightning. I think the skies of FL have gone crazy this year as we have had some insane productions put on for us this season. I am scared to death of it especially after your incident. Even driving in my car I am fearful. Glad you had such a great time with Shana!
I would love to learn more about your mentoring sessions! What is involved and do you accept out of state clients?
