My sisters wedding festivities came and went like a high speed whirlwind! Months of planning culminated into a stunning afternoon wedding celebration this past Saturday on the luscious green grounds at The Fountain of Youth in Saint Augustine. The temperature was almost as hot as the Bride and Groom…almost!
My sister looked as if she had stepped straight off of a Hollywood movie set as she made her way down the wooded path to say I do to her very own Prince Charming. My brother in law was overcome with emotion when he laid eyes on his Bride to be. She pulled a handkerchief that she had stowed away in her dress and wiped the falling tears from his eyes as we all wiped away tears of our own. They opted for a sand ceremony which represented the uniting of three souls, Mike, Cameron and Jacob as the new Bruce family. They exchanged vows and a kiss and headed back down that wooded path together embracing their new title as Mr. and Mrs. Mike Bruce.
We headed down to the water for some beautiful photo ops and then the guests enjoyed some good ole’ fashioned BBQ from our good friend, Mr. Jerry Stalvey. Soon the amazing sounds of The Paul Lundgren Band commenced and the celebration was in full swing! We were graced by a vibrant sunset and then we danced long into the night.
Everyone knows what a sap I am when it comes to people that I love and my sisters wedding was no exception. I was incredibly proud and genuinely happy for the love that exists between these two souls. They are truly meant to be! I mean, come on…any guy that is willing to tattoo “Will you marry me” on his chest and then be man enough to allow tears to flow from his eyes at the sight of his new Bride is a REAL man in my book! I am honored to have Mike as my brother in law. And as an added bonus, I was fortunate enough to spend some time getting to know Mike’s extended family and they are simply some of the most wonderful people that I have ever had the pleasure of being acquainted with!
Mr. & Mrs. Bruce departed this morning on a flight destined for Vegas where they will spend a few days at The Flamingo enjoying some live shows and scenery. Then they make their way to The Grand Canyon for some hiking and site seeing. They plan to travel Route 66 through Arizona and New Mexico stopping in to visit some friends before heading back to the South.
Cameron & Mike, I wish you both a lifetime full of the same emotion and love that you felt on your wedding day! I love you both and couldn’t be more happy for the life that you have created for yourselves.
I can hardly wait to complete my edits from this wedding but I just couldn’t wait any longer to share some of the images with you now. Enjoy!

The picture of the bride blotting the grooms eyes with a handkerchief and followed by her blotting her own eyes made me blot my own :) What a wonderful way to capture emotion. Beautiful.
