Her e-mail came in doubt that I would actually be able to accommodate her request “I know it’s last minute but it never hurts to ask, right?” I couldn’t have been happier to inform her that I could, indeed, fulfill her request…especially since she and her siblings were traveling in from all over the United States and she said that she chose me after viewing 50+ photographers. I would have been completely devastated not to be able to shoot her and her family…with my camera of course! ;-)
Jenn was kind enough to provide me with some insight into her and her siblings likenesses and differences and how they all tend to compliment each other. And they do…compliment each other. They all stepped out of the vehicle and I was like “hello beautiful family!” I felt like I knew Jenn already so I introduced myself to the rest of the family and we were off to shoot. We chit chatted in between shots and y’all know me…I am nosey…so I had to ask a few questions. “Did y’all grow up together?” Jenn began to explain their blended background and she said, “it’s kinda complicated.” I stopped her right there and said I understand! I come from one of those “it’s complicated” kinda situations as well. We both smiled and understood each other completely, no need for further explanation. Another commonality between us is that we are both loud…hey, she admitted it and well…y’all already know how loud I am.
Jenn, Rellie, Rea and Jessie…they share a wonderful Mother (whom they all adore) and obviously a beautiful gene divided equally among them. And Jessie, the youngest brother, just passed along that privileged gene to his precious baby girl Jaelyn. Is she not absolutely adorable? I loved photographing this family. Beautiful people. Brilliant smiles. Positive energy. What more could a photographer ask for? Jenn, I thank you for choosing me! It was great fun to meet you and your siblings and document such a rare moment of togetherness for the four of you. I hope that your Mom will love this amazing gift that you all are giving her. I know that she must be so proud!
And to top it all off…they are GATOR fans! Aw yeah!!! CHOMP! CHOMP!
They ARE a beautiful family! They look like they were a lot of fun to shoot. I love the piggy back ones. The one sister looks a little unsure of her brother’s ability to not drop her. Amazing images!!
Gorgeous!! Dawn… what a fun time you must have had! Beautiful is the perfect word!

SERIOUSLY!?!?! These are gorgeous!! What an awesome family and their mom is going to cry she is going to love these pictures sooo much!!
I just have to thank each of you for your kind comments about my siblings and I. I will say that my brothers and sister were a PAIN to wrangle for this, but once we met Dawn and started shooting, we all realized that it was the best thing we could have done – spent a couple hours together – just the four of us, having fun. And that’s exactly what we did! It’s been three years since we’ve all been together at the same time. My sincere thanks to Dawn for capturing the beauty we have each received from our AMAZING mother.
I’m finally in the running for favorite child! ;) JK.
THANKS SO MUCH DAWN!
