I feel so repetitive saying “time flies” but I swear…it does! It seems like I just shot Mallory’s maternity session and now Edward is almost one! Geez. The part that I dislike the most is this means that I am almost another year older too. Ugh! I remember when I couldn’t wait for my next birthday and now it’s like “Oh really? It’s my birthday again?” But this ain’t about me and my additional year. ;-)
Mallory and I met at the park on Monday and Edward was looking absolutely adorable in his little Easter outfit. I could kiss this kids cheeks off! He was completely intrigued by this little girl at the park…too bad I couldn’t get her to stand right behind me. His eyes would have told some stories! Later Austin actually captured his attention quite well…and that “help” cost me I tell ya…in Wizard 101 crowns. Mallory had a surprise for Edward. He was about to be presented with one giant cupcake. A kids dream! All to himself…well, except for the 3 little voices that kept repeating “when can we have some?” I must give them credit though they really did wait patiently until we wrapped up Edwards session and then the cupcake (and slobber) was passed around. ;-)
In the meantime, I somehow popped my CF card out of my camera and it ever so perfectly slipped between the cracks of the wooden deck. I gasped! How the heck was I gonna get this out? I tried rescuing it between two hangers…no such luck. Next I tried a stick and a hanger…nope. Then Mal’s sweet Aunt Teresa tried to dig it out…it was a good effort. Finally I drew up my sleeves and dug. Mal directed my fingers to meet her stick…oh yes…we are a master team. It was funny only after I managed to secure that card in my hot little hand. What was the chance of that card flipping out in the perfect direction to slip into a tiny crevice between two wooden boards…just my luck! Thank the Lord the card and the images survived.
Mallory, you know that I love you and your family! You are an incredibly valued client but more importantly you are my friend. XOXO~Dawn
Love these, little Edward is adorable!! I love the slobbery shot, that should be a huge canvas!
So cute! I can’t wait to do a GIANT cupcake smash! Guess what I’ll be doing for Beckett’s birthday?!? Edward is adorable in his Sunday best, but I have to say, I’m liking the diaper only face down in the cake shot the best!

Oh, such a precious pumpkin! I love the creamy skin and detail–not to mention your awesome color saturation! Love, love, love! I also think the shot with the drool is to die for! My youngest is almost 3–why can’t they stay babies a little longer? Time flies and it is wonderful to have the images to remind us of how precious our little ones are!

Dawn I saw these on FB and just now got to see the rest of the images! I LOVE this baby – I want to bring him home! His little personality just shines in these shots. I adore each one – but I must say the shot of him taking a big ole bite of cake – face first is priceless!
