I have been in touch with Lauren’s Mom for the last year on Facebook. She has been telling me that when the time drew near she couldn’t wait for me to photograph her daughters senior portraits. Oh, how thankful I am that she felt that way! Lauren is absolutely gorgeous. I could have photographed her all day long and well…I kinda did. We set off mid afternoon on Saturday in Lauren’s hometown of St. Augustine and didn’t stop until the sun had almost set. I think it goes without saying that Lauren drew a crowd. People just stopped and watched for a few minutes as we worked. At one point a gentleman approached us and literally sat within inches of Lauren…Um HELLO dude! We are working here and I’m pretty certain that Lauren doesn’t want you in her Senior pictures. Geez. We were nice though. We packed up and politely wished him a wonderful day.

September 10, 2010Do you ever wonder what people think about the first impression that you leave on them? Or maybe you are the type that doesn’t give it a second thought? Personally, I like to know because it makes me view myself from other peoples perspective. Granted I hope their impression of me is a good one but either way…I want to know.
The Launch Of Detroit SMUG
September 9, 2010I rented a car and drove in the yucky rain from Grand Rapids into Auburn Hills. I struggled to find a decent radio station while on the road…not sure if it was bad luck or bad MI radio stations but geez! Can’t a girl just hear some Ke$ha or Pink while on a solo drive?

September 8, 2010My son has always asked me “Mom, if we ever win the lottery will you buy a Lamborghini?” My reply has always been “You mean when we win the lottery?” ;-) Although it is an incredible sports car it just wouldn’t be practical for me. I am a little more of the SUV type. All that said, when Tim picked me up…guess what I was escorted in? Yep…a bad to the bone Lamborghini. Of course I had to take a few shots to prove to my son that I wasn’t fibbing. And talk about turning heads on the street…this piece of machinery stops people dead in their tracks! It was a cool experience. Thanks Tim!
